Polished, not posh
ENTRY 003
“It’s going to be clean, edgy (cool girl), neutral with pops of colour.
It’s super vibe-y at the minute but the mood / vision board will show you some of the actual pieces”
An actual quote from Laura, communicating exclusively in vibes.
She’s polished but not posh.
Attention-grabbing but understated. A standout, but not because she’s loud or obnoxious.
Refined but not stuffy.
The Essendon West town house called for a particular buyer.
Someone looking for a smart entry into the Essendon housing market. A first home buyer, a young family, a professional couple who want to be close to everything without living in the CBD.
They may have grown up nearby.
Or is it, a smart investor who gets it and already knows exactly who the tenant is going to be before they’ve even collected the keys.
In my head she’s a western suburbs girlie.
I know her. I was her. So were my friends.
Polished but not posh. She wants sleek. She wants interesting. She knows good design. She might spend money on the weird artwork. But she doesn’t need the house to announce old money, darling.
For this install I want unusual art and sculptural objects.
Interiors that feel sleek and designer in their approach, but importantly, for an entry level home, it needed to feel achievable to the buyer.
Aspirational - YES.
Out of reach - NO.
